A Complete Heritage Roof Restoration
The project centred on the complete replacement of the church hall’s ageing natural slate roof. Before any new materials were introduced, we carefully removed the existing slates and retained as many as possible for reuse. This helped preserve the building’s authentic appearance while reducing unnecessary waste. Once the roof structure had been prepared, we installed new breathable roofing felt, treated timber battens and modern insulation. As a result, the building now benefits from significantly improved weather protection and energy efficiency without losing its historic character.
Traditional Skills Meet Modern Construction

Throughout the project, our experienced team carried out repairs to damaged timber, restored sections of historic stonework and installed new leadwork where required. We also fitted traditional cast iron rainwater goods that complement the original architecture while providing long-lasting performance.
